NATIONAL TEAM RUNNERS UP

The Scope Festival once again saw our Area Team defending our title. The Holderness Hoppers comprising of Becky Woolhouse, Jack Drewery, Hayley McCaie and Rachael Williams representing our area.  At the end of the second round we were one of the six to go into the jump of on a zero score. Hailey was elected for the jump off and as she was first to go the instruction of go for it was carried out in true Hayley form. After a flying start and a tight turn back to fence 2 she and Alexander finished on 4 faults in a fairly fast time. As the class continued this turned into the bogie fence, the only team member to jump clear from Derbyshire took the class and the cracking time that Hailey had set up gave us a very credible 2nd in the competition. Well done gang and roll on next year !

LOCAL PONY RIDERS ON TOP FORM

Arena UK was transformed for their Halloween Show 2011 with the help of ghosts, ghouls and witches of all shapes and sizes.  With loads of super prizes on offer even the fun classes were highly contested.

Lucy Carver had a good win with Shaman Sundance and Luke Hill took 2 classes with Ilar Max plus another of the Grand Prix with his good mare Pandoras Pride.

But by the end of the week Dan Patrick and Hillgarth Riverdance had knoched up 5 wins and finished the show the Leading Rider and winner of the Quad Bike.

Luke and Ilar Max made the journey to Southview that weekend and took the 148cm Debs Championship in flying form much to his father Martins delight.
